Standalone ETC Oil-free Converter

Advanced Oil-Free Conversion Technology, the ETC oil-free converter employs a specialized, eco-friendly catalyst to transform oil-contaminated compressed air into high-purity, oil-free air. This innovative process uses catalytic oxidation to break down hydrocarbons into water (H₂O) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) by reacting with oxygen (O₂) in the air at specific temperatures. Simultaneously, high temperatures sterilize the air by eliminating microorganisms, ensuring a clean and oil-free compressed air supply that meets the stringent ISO 8573-1 Class 0 standard.

ETC Oil-Free Conversion Technology Principle

A special new type of environmentally friendly solid catalyst is used to physically and chemically catalyze the reaction at a certain temperature, converting oil and other hydrocarbons into H₂O and CO₂. The compressed air processed by the oil-free converter achieves Class 0 oil-free performance, making it applicable in fields requiring air oil content to comply with the ISO 8573-1, Class 0 standard.

  ETC Catalyst Characteristics:

  • The ETC catalyst is a special, new type of environmentally friendly solid material.
  • It features porous permeability and anisotropy.
  • It contains countless pores of varying sizes (as shown in the figure below), with a surface area of up to approximately 200 m²/g.
  • Its operating temperature ranges between 170–250°C.

The catalytic conversion chamber

Inside the catalytic conversion chamber, it is full of catalytic which is solid, highly porous system of mega-, macro-and micropores.  The high porosity means also a high surface area of approx..200m2/g.

Chemical reaction the inside Eco Tec Converter is a physical-chemical process which uses this special catalyst to convert the oil and other hydrocarbons into water and CO2.

After it has passed the Eco Tec Converter the quality of the absolutely oil free compressed air exceeds by the requirements of ISO 8573-1 class 1 standard.
